Lawn Mowing & Deep Edging in Boerne & the Hill Country

Most crews run a string trimmer along the concrete and call it edging. We cut a clean, vertical deep edge along every driveway, walk, and bed line, then mow at the right height for your grass and the season. That is the reason our biweekly clients' yards still look sharp the day before we come back.

  • Sharp, alternating mow patterns at the correct height for your grass
  • Real deep edging along drives, walks, curbs, and beds, not a quick string trim
  • String trimming, plus we blow off every hard surface and haul the debris
  • Weekly, biweekly, or one time. Recurring clients keep the same crew
Lawn Mowing & Deep Edging

Grass height matters more here than most people expect. St. Augustine, which does well in the shade of the live oaks around Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne, wants to stay tall. Cut it too short and you scalp it into brown patch. Bermuda on an open, sunny lot wants to be shorter and mowed more often. We set the deck to what your turf and the season actually need instead of running one height across every yard.

Deep edging is what sets our work apart. A crisp vertical line along the concrete and beds reads as cared for from the street, holds its shape for two weeks, and keeps runners from creeping into your beds and driveway cracks. On a biweekly plan you keep the same two person crew, so they learn your property. They know the gate code, the dog, and the soft spot by the downspout. It shows.

Lawn Mowing & Deep Edging: common questions

How often should I mow around San Antonio and Boerne?
In the growing season, roughly April through October, most lawns here look best on a biweekly schedule. Fast growing, well watered St. Augustine may want weekly. Growth slows in winter, so many clients drop to monthly or call us as needed. We will recommend a schedule for your specific yard with no lock in.
What is deep edging and why does it cost more than trimming?
Deep edging cuts a clean vertical line into the soil along your hard surfaces and beds instead of just knocking down tall blades with a string trimmer. It takes longer and needs the right blade, and it is the reason the lawn still looks finished a week after we leave.
Do you bag the clippings?
For a routine cut we mulch the clippings back into the lawn, which returns nitrogen to the soil. On the first cut of the season, an overgrown yard, or leaf heavy fall visits, we bag and haul as needed.
