Hedge & Shrub Trimming in Boerne & the Hill Country

Overgrown hedges are the fastest way for an otherwise tidy property to look neglected. We shape shrubs and hedges for a clean line and long term plant health, and we haul every clipping away.

  • Precise shaping of hedges, shrubs, boxwoods, and ornamentals
  • Cuts timed and made to protect plant health, not just looks
  • All trimmings bagged and hauled, so the beds are left clean
  • Easy to add onto a recurring maintenance visit
Hedge & Shrub Trimming

There is a right and a wrong time to cut back many shrubs. Prune a spring bloomer at the wrong point in the year and you cut off next season's flowers. Shear everything into tight balls and you get thin, woody plants with bare centers. We shape for a clean look while keeping the cuts light enough that plants stay full and healthy.

One important local note: we do not prune oaks between February and June, when the beetles that spread oak wilt are most active across this oak heavy corridor. When oak work cannot wait in that window, we seal fresh cuts right away. That kind of detail protects the mature trees that make Fair Oaks Ranch and Boerne properties worth what they are.

Hedge & Shrub Trimming: common questions

When should hedges be trimmed?
Most hedges do well with a shaping once or twice in the growing season. Spring flowering shrubs are best cut right after they bloom. We will time it so you do not lose flowers or stress the plant.
Do you trim trees too?
We handle shrubs, hedges, and light tree trimming within reach from the ground. For large limbs or full canopy work we will point you to a certified arborist, and we never prune oaks in the February through June oak wilt window.
Will you haul off the clippings?
Always. Trimmings are bagged and removed as part of the job. We do not leave a pile behind.
